Uses of Cannabis Sativa

Recently I have made a decision (long though and self debated) to support and spread "the message" of legalized marijuana. Below I have created a very rough bullet point on the uses of marijuana. This is all.

Uses of Cannabis sativa.

  • Food & Nutrition
Hemp seeds and hemp oils are highly nutritious. Hemp seeds are an excellent source of protein, minerals, and dietary fibers. Hemp is the only plant that contains all of the essential fatty acids and amino acids required by the human body.

  • Body Care
Hemp has a high content of beneficial oils and natural emollient properties which is a good alternative to the toxic chemicals presented in many petroleum based lotions and cosmetics.

  • Paper
Hemp regenerates in fields within months compared to tree's which can take up to thirty years or more to become harvest-able.

  • Fabric, Textiles, & Rope
Hemp can be used for to make a variety of fabrics and is more durable than cotton.

  • Fuel
Hemp can be used as bio-fuel as an alternative or replacement to gasoline.

  • Plastic Alternatives
Hemp can be used as an alternative or replacement to standard plastics which are from fossil fuels and toxic chemicals.

  • Building Materials
The modern hemp building materials Hempcrete and Isochanvre are lightweight, waterproof, fireproof, self-insulating, and resistant to pests.

  • Medicinal
Marijuana can be used as medicine as I'm sure many of you may already know. This is why I will just give a brief list of all medical problems in which marijuana has been reported to be used as some form of treatment. Nausea, vomiting, premenstrual syndrome, unintentional weight loss, insomnia, asthma, glaucoma, cancer, arthritis, atherosclerosis, depression, epilepsy, hepatitis, sleep apnea, leukemia, skin tumors, seizures, alcohol abuse, and many more.

  • Recreational
Self explanatory.

Every year billions of taxpayer dollars are used for the “War On Drugs” to chase and prosecute many (if not the majority) of peaceful marijuana users. There is strong statistical evidence showing marijuana is not a gateway drug and that it is only that marijuana users must interact with drug dealers and are presented other, harder drugs. In fact legalizing marijuana would reduce the flow of money to national and international criminal organizations. Marijuana is not a lethal drug and is safer than alcohol. Marijuana is not addictive. Marijuana can be taxed to support government programs
